On Thursday, news broke about the resumption date for the 2019/2020 Premier League season.
On the 17th of June, the Premier League’s Project Restart campaign will kick off. In the same month, the FA Cup will also continue from where it stopped.
While this is exciting news, the most-watched football league in the world is not the only one resuming soon. As a matter of fact, football action, will this weekend, resume in several countries across the world. This weekend will feature the fourth round of league football games in South Korea. Asides Gwangju FC, the other 11 teams have managed to gain a point so far this season.
Hungary OTP Bank Liga
This is another football league that restarted recently. Two games have been played this week, with the rest set to be played over the weekend. It’s the first time a Hungarian league game will be played during the weekend, since proceedings stopped in March.
Belarus Vysshaya Liga
This league never left. It started when they COVID-19 became a wide-spread pandemic and has featured action, even with fans inside the stadium, since then. With 10 games played, one-third of the season is gone. The drama continues this weekend.
