The weekend is here again and this means the return of club football.
The past few days had us witness drama from all parts of the world in international football. World Cup qualifiers, friendlies and all pushed club football to the backseat.
The 2017 international season in football is now over. What this means is no more international breaks, at least till the end of this year. It’s all about club football from now on.
For those looking to put their money where their mouth is this weekend, here are 3 games that can make you richer this weekend:
Arsenal vs. Tottenham
It’s the one game that eclipses every other game in the Premier League this weekend. As you would know, the battle between these two clubs for supremacy in North London continues. And all that will contribute to make this one a feisty one.
The Gunners are still undefeated at home this season. They’ve maintained a 100% record so far and will be hoping that continues this weekend. For Spurs, they’ve only conceded three goals away from home this season.
Atletico Madrid vs. Real Madrid
This is another local derby. Barcelona will be watching this one with keen interest. Yes, this has nothing to do with their closest rival on the log, Valencia. But, they will be hoping it ends in a draw while they increase their lead over these two clubs.
Diego Simeone’s men are yet to lose in their new stadium in the Spanish La Liga this season. The goal scoring form has not been great, an average of one goal per game. As for their rivals Real Madrid, they’ve scored an average of 2 goals per game whenever they played away from home this season.
AS Roma vs. Lazio Roma
Yet another derby in Europe! More interesting is the fact that both teams are 5th and 4th on the Serie A table respectively, separated by just a point. The last 6 meetings between these two has seen Roma win four times, and Lazio twice. No draw was recorded.
As for their current form, Lazio has played 6 away games so far and has not lost or drawn any of those 6 games. For AS Roma, they’ve won four away games and lost twice at home.Tags: weekend derbies, weekend games to make you richer
