Sporting Events This Month

The month may be new. But the sporting action across the globe will continue non-stop. There may be brief pause in club football activities for the sake of the international break. But that also means more football action on the international scene.

From basketball games to tennis events and action in the NFL, it’s an action-filled October. For fans and punters alike, it’s the perfect month. In the midst of being spoilt for choice, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. To avoid this, here are some of the sporting events to look out for this month:

  1. NBA Playoffs

Despite opening up a 13-point lead at some point in the first quarter, the Miami Heats still lost to LA Lakers. It was the first time in their last 12 games that they failed to score 100+ points in an NBA game. In another trend, it was also a continuation of Miami Heats losing the first quarter in the games against the LA Lakers.

For Lebron James and co, it was the first win in a best-of-seven NBA Playoffs Final. Later this month, the two franchises will clash a couple of times to determine which side will be crowned champions.

  1. French Open

In just the first two rounds played at Roland Garros, there have already been some big-name scalps. While the likes of Zverev and Nadal keep breezing through, the likes of Serena Williams have had to pull out. Coco Gauff, Victoria Azarenka, and Andy Murray have also been knocked out of the Grand Slam tournament.
