Napoli - Sassuolo Game

Hands down, this Serie A season has been a season full of goals.

If you’re in doubt, just check all the games played last week Sunday. All those games had two things in common:

  • Both teams scored
  • Over 1,5 Goals

So many goals were scored in MatchDay 5 of Serie A games that Genoa was the only side that failed to score. In MatchDay 4, eight of the 10 games played finished with three goals or more. Now you know why Serie A has been the home of goals in European club football.

At the center of all this goal-scoring are so many teams, five of them, in fact. And two of those clubs are Napoli and Sassuolo. Still need reasons why you should bet on this game? Here’s a few:

  1. No Team Has Scored More Goals Than Sassuolo

16 goals. That’s how many goals Sassuolo have scored this season. If you want to know how special that is, let’s help you put it into perspective:

These stats have earned them an unbeaten run in the league. Having scored 11 goals in their last three games, they’re your go-to team for goals this season.

  1. Both Teams to Score

Of the teams in the top six of the Serie A as things stand, only Atalanta have conceded more goals than Sassuolo. In their last game, Sassuolo shipped in three goals. In fact, two of their last five games have ended in draws while all of their games this season has seen both sides score.

  1. Over 3,5 Goals: The Goal Rush

Only two of Napoli’s last four games this season have seen at least four goals scored in them. As for Sassuolo, four of their last five games played have seen at least four goals. Of course, most of these goals were scored by these two sides.

  1. Napoli – Sassuolo: One of Napoli’s Favorite Games

Napoli have won four of their last five games against Sassuolo. In that run, Sassuolo only managed to score twice. This fixture has always been tricky for the Neroverdi and the reason is not far-fetched. They have only managed one win against Napoli in their last 15 games.

It’s largely expected that there’ll be a festival of goals in the Serie A this season. And this is one of the games expected to produce some of those goals. What’s your prediction for this game? Drop your comments and join the conversation.
