AFC Champions League Quarterfinals

AFC Champions League Quarterfinals Let’s talk about Asian football.

It’s not news that the AFC Champions League is ongoing.  And right now, teams are competing in the round of 16.

Its been a long journey for these teams and now, they are at the knockout stage.

So far, eight teams have played their scheduled games in the round of 16, we are left with the remaining eight.

As it stands, all teams in the eastern region have played their games and we should be expecting performances from Kashima Antlers, Guangzhou Evergrande, Urawa Red Diamonds, and Shanghai SIPG in the quarterfinal games.

That leaves the west region games. Which of these remaining teams do you think will qualify to play at the quarter finals?

To help you decide that, here is a list of games yet to be played:

  1. Al-Nassr vs Al-Wahda

Al-Nassr finished second on their group’s table.

Out of the six games played, they won three, lost two and one ended in a draw. Throughout the tournament this season, they have been able to score eleven goals and conceded seven.

With a total of 10 points, they qualified to play in the round of 16.

Al-Wahda, on the other hand, have done a better job this season.

They finished first on Group B’s table. Out of the six games they have played so far, they lost only one, won three and one ended in a draw.

In total, they have been able to score 14 goals and conceded only nine. They qualified for the round of 16 with a total of 13 points.

Obviously, both teams are good. It is going to be a tricky one determining who gets pulled out and who stays.

  1. Al-Ittihad vs Zob Ahan

Its been quite a good tournament for both teams and truthfully, its hard picking which team is better than the other, especially since both teams won three out of the six games, they played at the group stage.

Nevertheless, Zob Ahan finished top in their group while Al-Ittihad sits on the second position in Group B.

The difference between both teams is the fact that Zob Ahan other three games ended in a draw, while Al-Ittihad lost one game, with the other two ending a draw.

Surprisingly, Zob Ahan have scored a total of 10 goals while Al-Ittihad have scored 13.  This is also going to be another tricky match to predict since the performance margin between these two teams is very slim.

These and two more games are still to be played in the round of 16.

It’s left to you to predict which teams you think will qualify and place your bets on them.

Now over to you…

Which of these teams do you think will qualify for the quarterfinals? Which teams do you think will get knocked out?
