Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker

When you’re 28 years old and you’re the holder of the IBF title, the WBA (Super) and the IBO titles, it’s only normal that your name always pops up every time boxing is mentioned. And it’s more than normal for every boxer in the world to want to have a go at you, especially if you’re Anthony Joshua.

Up next for AJ is the boxer from New Zealand in Joseph Parker. Anthony Joshua will face Joseph Parker in a world heavyweight unification fight in Cardiff as fight week is well and truly underway. With the winner of the fight set to cart away all four titles, this fight has been billed as a block-buster one.

Fans are very well divided as to which boxer will win this one. To help you with this decision, we’ve decided to look at the stats and compare the numbers involved.

 Age and Height

Anthony Joshua (28) is two years older than Joseph Parker (26). The Brit who stands at a stunning 6ft 6in is also taller than his counterpart from New Zealand who stands at 6ft 4in. The difference in height could play a huge role in deciding which way this one will swing.

AJ may have the privilege of towering over his rival while Parker may have to deal with that and also expending more energy while trying to “reach for the stars.”

When Anthony Joshua faces his opponent on the 31st of March inside the 78,000-capacity Principality Stadium in Cardiff, it will be his 21st fight since he became a pro boxer in 2013.
