Juventus have not won the Coppa Italia since Cristiano Ronaldo joined in 2018. They have a chance to do so on Wednesday night when they face Atalanta in the Coppa Italia Final.

JUVENTUS
Juventus have had a disastrous season by their usually high standards. After 9 straight Serie A titles, they have lost the Title to Inter & are now at risk of missing out on a top four finish. With 1 Serie A game left to play, Juventus no longer have their fate in their hands. If Napoli & AC Milan win their matches, Juventus will be playing in the Europa League next season.
Juventus will be counting on talisman Cristiano Ronaldo in the Final. Despite Juventus’ bad season, Ronaldo has still managed to top the Serie A top scorers list with 29 goals. The Portuguese superstar also has a good record in Finals winning 70% of the finals he’s played in.
ATALANTA
Atalanta are becoming a force in Italian Football. Gasperini’s men are on track to finish 2nd in the Serie A this season. It is testament to how good Atalanta are and they have become renowned for their attacking prowess. They have scored 100+ goals for the 3rd straight season. Atalanta have not won the Coppa Italia since 1962–63 so they will be desperate to win this one. They will also be buoyed by the fact they have not lost to Juventus this season. Ironically, Atalanta also hold the key to Juventus’ top 4 hopes. If Atalanta beat or draw AC Milan & Juventus beat Sassuolo, Juventus will make the Champions League.
HEAD TO HEAD
Juventus have a far superior head-to-head advantage over Atalanta. In the last 26 Serie A games between both teams, Juventus have won 18 times while Atalanta have only won once. The pair have drawn the remaining 7 games. In the last 4 Coppa Italia games between both teams, Juventus have won 3 while Atalanta have won just once. It is however important to note that Juventus have failed to beat Atalanta this season. They drew 1-1 at the Juventus Stadium and lost 1-0 at Atalanta’s Gewiss Stadium.
