The past week has seen plenty of tennis action from Australia as the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open, marked the beginning of the tennis season for the year 2018.
There were other tournaments before the Australian Open as players used them to prepare for the big one. But when it is January, it’s the Grand Slam in Australia and then every other tournaments.
After one week of action, the coming week is set to feature some amazing clashes between tennis heavyweights, both in the Men’s category and in the Women’s category.
The tournament is missing the likes of Andy Murray and Serena Williams and now Jelena Ostapenko and Jo Wilfred Tsonga (both of whom have crashed out of the competition). But with the likes of Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and Wozniacki still in contention, it’s set to be an amazing week of tennis action.

He has played three games now and has not dropped a set in any of those games. Now in the Round of 16, he’s set to face Marton Fucsovics for a spot in the Quarter Finals of the competition.

Touted as the next big thing in WTA, Madison has justified all the hype that went before her in this tournament by pulling off something her peers have not been able to do. Like Federer, she’s yet to drop a single set since the tournament began.
