This year’s FIBA Basketball World Cup went by really quick.
After two weeks of intense games, we are down to our last two teams out of the 32 that began the competition.
Yesterday, Spain took out Australia with a 95-88 score point to get into the finals. Argentina also kicked France out of the running with an 80-66 score point.
Now it is down to Argentina and Spain, who will be going against each other tomorrow. The question on everyone’s mind at the moment is: who will win the Basketball World Cup?

Let’s take a look at how both teams have fared so far:
Spain entered this tournament ranked no. 2 in the world rankings. This is the first time they went past a semi-final since their win in 2006.
They had a great game at the semi-final match.
Gasol’s 33 points, four assists and six rebounds coupled with Ricky Rubio’s 19 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds, gave Spain the edge to stay on top of the semi-final game down to the finish.
This win is however not surprising since they have had a perfect record to their name; seven games and seven wins.
But playing against Argentina in the past has not been all bed of roses for Spain. They have met seven times, and Spain were able to secure a win in three out of the seven meetings.
With any luck, this game just might level up the scoreboards.
But only one team can win this match.

Argentina have been the most consistent team in this year’s FIBA World Cup. They have proved in this competition that they are a well-oiled machine.
Just like Spain, Argentina have not lost any game in this year’s competition. All seven games played ended in a win for them.
Argentina goes into this game with players like Luis Scola, Patricio Garino and Facundo Campazzo in their corner.
Campazzo alone has combined more than 12 points, 6+ assists and 6+ rebounds for the third time in this year’s competition.
Also, they have played against Spain seven times, and they won four of those meetings. If history has anything to say, they probably have the winning advantage.
Both teams have performed wonderfully well so far. However, only one team can emerge the winner.
Which of these teams do you think will go home with the championship title? Will it be Argentina or Spain?
