Bayern Munich vs. Lyon

Bayern Munich vs. Lyon

Bayern Munich will be going against Lyon tomorrow evening at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in the UCL semi-final game.

This is one of the most anticipated matches for this week, especially since both teams performed brilliantly in their last games.

Bayern gave Barcelona a huge whooping in their last game, which ended with an 8-2 scoreline in Bayern’s favour. Lyon, who finished seventh in the Ligue 1, sent Man. City back home with a 3-1 win.

With the kind of action we have gotten from both teams, which team do you think will make it to the final?

Let’s take a look at how both teams have performed so far.

Bayern Munich

If their last match has anything to say, Bayern Munich possess a strong attack form. All the eight goals they scored in the match were assisted by different players.

That evening, they became the first team to score eight goals in a Champions League knockout game.

Another commendable action in their name is the fact that they have won 24 out of 25 games in all competitions.

Throughout the tournament, they have shown that there is no backing down for them. They have won all six of their last games in the Champions League. The same goes for their form across all competitions.

Despite their sterling performance, they have to bring their A-game to this match. Judging from their last four semi-finals which they failed, they have their work cut out for them.

If history repeats itself, then they just might be going home without getting to the finals.

Bayern Muich have failed to progress from each of their last four semi-final games.

Lyon

Even though Lyon were able to defeat Man. City in the last game, that doesn’t mean this will be an easy ride for them.

However, they should have a stronger motivation to win – revenge. This is the first time in 10 years Lyon will be participating in the Champions League semi-finals.

The last time they were at the semi-finals, they were pulled out of the running by Bayern Munich. Lyon will come into this game ready to rewrite history, and this time, make sure it is in their favour.

Their form so far has not been bad. They won three of their last six games in the tournament. They lost two games and one ended in a draw.

If Lyon can bring to this game, the same energy they had in their last game, they just might go home as champions

The last time both teams met at the Semi-finals, Lyon were defeated.

Now, over to you…

It is needless to say that both teams are worthy opponents. However, only one side can come out on top. Which will it be?
