All the attention in club football has been stolen by the Premier League. The little that is left has been taken up by La Liga, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, and Serie A, the last two to resume this weekend. So, why should you bother about the Belgian Pro League?
The first is that it gives you access to more games to cash in on. Who doesn’t like mixing it up when it comes to creating that winning bet slip? We know you do. We also know that you may not know much about what’s going on in a fantastic league like the Belgian Pro League.
And that’s why we’ve chosen to show you yet another league, full of games, that you can choose from this weekend. But really, why this league in particular?

Goals
If you take a look at the teams in the top half of the table, only one of them have managed less than an average of two goals per game. The same also applies to the second half of the table, just that two teams have failed to reach the two goals per game average.
The Belgian Pro League is just five games old. However, we’ve seen the following score lines:
- 5 – 2
- 4 – 1
- 0 – 4
- 2 – 2
- 2 – 3
The league has kicked off with a lot of goals. And there’s no better time to jump on the wave of goals than now.

The highest scorer in the league so far is Beerschot, whose 5-2 win over KRC Genk saw their goals tally increase to 11. Club Brugge and Anderlecht are joint-second on the list of scorers, with 10 goals each in their last five league games.
Red Cards
Another thing that has been surplus in the league this season is the number of cautions players have received in games.
In the fifth round of games alone, eight red cards were shown to players. Gent, Standard Liege, Royal Antwerp, Royal Excel Mouscron and Genk players were all at the receiving end. I This has been the timeline of red cards since the league resumed:
- Round 1: No Red Cards
- Round 2: 1 Red Card
- Round 3: 5 Red Cards
- Round 4: 3 Red Cards
In the 45 league games played so far, 17 red cards have been shown, an average of one in every three games played. With the number of red cards increasing, there is a high probability of players seeing red cards again this season.
