The New Year has barely started and the sports world has already produced action from all parts of the world.
The tennis season is well underway. NBA regular season continues. Premier League football continues, and things have gotten pretty serious in the NFL. Talk about not taking a break!
We’re sure it’s the same with some punters out there. You’ve followed all the action into the New Year, placing bets on these different sports. It’s most likely that if you’ve read this, you’ve already placed a bet this year. So, you probably don’t need a New Year resolution for your betting, right?
Wrong!
You know how a New Year comes with making evaluations, setting goals and creating plans to achieve those goals? Well, it applies to your betting business too (yes, betting is a business).
In 2018, you probably did all you could, including betting on more than one sport, trying out the different betting markets among other things. And you know the kind of result you got. Now, whether the results were good or bad, wouldn’t you want better results this year?
This is the more reason why you should seriously consider making your New Year betting resolutions if you don’t have one yet.

An average of 100 sporting events will happen every day in this New Year. This numbers are good for those who already know what to do.
But it can be confusing for those who are still trying to figure out what to do, especially when it comes to their New Year resolutions.
To help you out, here are some suggestions on how to go about your resolutions:
1. Focus more on what worked for you last year
It is important that you continue the good run you had last year. In betting, consistency might be hard but definitely not impossible. You can be consistent by evaluating what worked for you and concentrating your efforts on just that.
2. Try out new things
Chances are that if you continue doing what you’ve done, you’ll keep getting same results. Your New Year resolution should point towards making more than you did the year before. One way to do this is testing new betting markets. You’ll never know until you try.
Note however, testing is different from concentrating. Concentrate on what already worked for you in the past year, but create time and small money to test new waters.
3. Discipline: Some of us punters should be the richest in the world. Yes, we’re that good! But it’s the greed of adding one more game, looking for fixed games that has left us were we currently are. Instead of cutting corners, why not just put in the hard work this year?
4. Hard Smart work: On weekends where there are over 1,000 events to make money from, what are you going to do? Don’t wait until that weekend comes. Include your line of action in your New Year resolution. Map out the strategies you will employ during this period.
These pointers will not only help you to create the right resolutions. This New Year, they will serve as your guide as you try to navigate the murky betting waters.
