Romelu Lukaku finally made his highly anticipated second debut for Chelsea against Arsenal on Sunday and he didn’t disappoint. It took him just 15 minutes to get on the scoresheet. Asides his goal, Lukaku bullied Arsenal defender Pablo Mari and was a menace to the Arsenal defence all game. Bernd Leno’s heroics perhaps prevented the score-line from being embarrassing for the Gunners. It therefore was not a surprise when Lukaku won the man of the match award. Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool players will be aware and perhaps wary of the danger that Lukaku and Chelsea pose when they face The Blues at Anfield on Saturday. Both teams are evenly matched with same points, goals scored and conceded ahead of the game.

LIVERPOOL
Liverpool will be confident not only about this match but for the season as a whole. The Reds had a torrid 2020/21 season with injuries to key players throughout the season. They have now welcomed those players back into the team including influential CB Virgin van Dijk. Liverpool have evidently been buoyed by these players’ return judging from their displays in the League so far this season. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been flawless since the league began. They easily dispatched Norwich and Burnley with ease scoring 5 and conceding none in the process.
While some Liverpool fans are concerned that they haven’t made any signings like most of their rivals, Klopp insists the return of their key players feels like new signings. Liverpool will be looking to reclaim the League Title they lost to City last season. Games like these will go to show how ready they are. They will however be coming up against an equally competent and confident side in Chelsea and will need to be at their best to beat them.
