Cash in on These Championship Games Before it Goes on a Break

Championship games

Just like in the Premier League, December has been a month of non-stop action in the English Championship. This month alone has featured at least five rounds of games in the league. And the frenzy is set to continue well into 2021.

All sides are heavily involved in one game or the other during this holiday period. But this busy period is only going to last for so long as the league will take a break in January. This means now is the perfect time to cash in on the events of the league.

Championship Teams to Look Out For?

It’s difficult to look past Brentford in the English Championship. After failing to gain promotion to the Premier League, Thomas Frank’s side have picked themselves up and are now on a 15-game unbeaten run. That’s now two months without a defeat, across all competition.

Up next for Brentford is their game against Bournemouth.

Swansea, in second place, have kept the highest number of clean sheets in the league – 12 in 21 games. The next team that will try to stop the momentum of the Swans is Reading. And Swansea have not lost to Reading in their last 15 meetings, with the last seven producing at least two goals each.

The top team in the league will also be in action in the coming days. Norwich suffered their fourth loss of the season against Watford, a loss that came after a five-game winning streak. They now have to pick up their momentum in their next game, against Queens Park Rangers. After that game, they will welcome Barnsley before the league goes on a break.

Will the home sides triumph in the league in the next few days or will it be the away sides that will run away with the three points?

Wycombe seem destined to return to the League One as they are now without a win in their last 10 games. Half of those games have ended in defeats while over half of those 10 games have seen at least two goals scored. If they are to survive this season, they have to find a way past Cardiff City and Middlesbrough in their next two games.

Wayne Rooney and Derby County have been enduring a torrid season so far. With only three wins in 21, they have only recorded two wins in their last 10 games. Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday are the two sides they are to face in the next two rounds of Championship games.

Four of the last 10 games played by Derby have ended in a draw. Will any of their next two games end in a stalemate?
