A lot of attention is currently being paid to all the top-flight action that’s going down in Europe at the moment. And it’s rightly so because that’s where the stars come out to play.

English Championship
In the second tier of the Premier League, the race for promotion to the Premier League is very much on. 20 games in and the likes of Wolverhampton and Cardiff City are already creating space between themselves at the top of the table and the chasing pack.
No team has been able to stay unbeaten but Wolverhampton is currently on a 5-game winning run in all competitions while Barnsley has not won any game in their last five matches in all competitions.

Italian Serie B
Things are much tighter in Serie B. The three top teams on the table all have the same points (29 points) the fourth and fifth-ranked sides also have the same points (27 points) while it’s the same situation for the three teams that follow on the log.
With 17 games gone, Empoli has scored the highest amount of goals this season – that’s 35 goals, an average of 2 goals per game. But they’re sixth on the log. Venezia on the other hand has conceded the least amount of goals (14 goals)

Spanish Segunda
From Sevilla II’s one win in 17 games to Real Valladolid’s 11th position standing, despite scoring the highest number of goals in the league, the Segunda division has been dramatic. It’s pretty tight at the top of the table at the race to play in La Liga heats up.
An average of 2.7 goals per game in almost every game week is proof that the goals are not as surplus as it is in other leagues.
