Let's talk Copa America semifinals

It’s the week of semifinals in international football leagues.

This week, teams will be participating in the quarterfinal games in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The same goes for Copa America. This means that gradually, this season is coming to a close.

Copa America started with 16 teams and now, we are down to the last four.

This week, Brazil will be playing against Argentina and Chile will go head-on against Peru for a sit at the final games this season.

These four teams have done really well this season and both games promise to be exciting and intense. It might not be an easy one predicting who will win.

Still, which teams do you think will win the semifinal games? What are your predictions?

Let’s take a look at the teams that will be participating in the semifinals…

Brazil vs Argentina

It is no news that Brazil have done quite well in the history of Copa America. They have won the league four times.

However, they have suffered a frustrating defeat this time around. Out of the four games played, they have won three.

A lot is at a stake for Argentina. It has been ages since they won any trophy. The last time they held a silverware in Copa America was 1993.

They have to make sure that they change the narrative this time. Out of the three games played in the group stage, they won only one.

Chile vs Peru

This is going to be one intense game.

This is not the first meeting between both teams. They have met 14 times and Chile came out victorious 12 times.

It’s been six years since Chile lost a competitive tie between both teams. Even in their last meeting in 2015, the game ended with 2-1 scoreline in favor of Chile.

It is no news that the Chileans are the defending champions and they are bent on keeping it that way. If they make their way to the finish line of this season victorious, they would have taken home the silverware three times.

Its been quite a bumpy ride for Peru. Though they finished at the top of their group’s table, they scored only one out of the three games played in the Group stage.
