Week of Cup Games

The football frenzy that the year started with is set to continue this week, albeit in the form of cup games.

All over Europe, teams will be competing in various cup competitions and fighting for a chance to make it to the next round. While the English teams resume league action after their FA Cup commitments, other European clubs will be neck-deep in cup business.

  1. DFB Pokal

The cup competition is getting set for the Round of 16 games which will be played in February. However, there are still some Round 2 games to be sorted out before the next round.

After their loss to Borussia Moenchengladbach last time out, Bayern Munich face 2. Bundesliga side Holsetein Kiel. But the pick of the bunch is the all-Bundesliga affair between Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt. Only one of the last 17 games between both sides has ended in a draw, with Leverkusen winning 10 of those games.

Six of the last six meetings between these two sides has ended with over 2,5 goals.
