The football frenzy that the year started with is set to continue this week, albeit in the form of cup games.
All over Europe, teams will be competing in various cup competitions and fighting for a chance to make it to the next round. While the English teams resume league action after their FA Cup commitments, other European clubs will be neck-deep in cup business.

The cup competition is getting set for the Round of 16 games which will be played in February. However, there are still some Round 2 games to be sorted out before the next round.
After their loss to Borussia Moenchengladbach last time out, Bayern Munich face 2. Bundesliga side Holsetein Kiel. But the pick of the bunch is the all-Bundesliga affair between Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt. Only one of the last 17 games between both sides has ended in a draw, with Leverkusen winning 10 of those games.

Coppa Italia
In Italy, it’s time for the boys to be separated from the men again as teams face each other in the Round of 16. With some of the top sides in the Serie A still very much involved in the competition, you can expect fireworks this week,
Fiorentina vs. Inter Milan is one of the biggest Coppa Italia games to look out for this week. Although Inter are unbeaten against this particular opposition in their last seven, five of those games have ended in a draw. Only once in that run of games did a game between these top Italian sides finish without a goal.

The long Champions League journey in South America is gradually coming to an end.
With four teams left in the competition this season, this week will feature the second leg of semi-final games between sides involved.
