The NBA finals are set to begin today.
We are going to be experiencing the best of seven playoff games.
This season, the battle for the championship is between the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors.
These games will be played from the 30th of May to the 16th of June.
Toronto Raptors won the Eastern Conference final games against Milwaukee Bucks to qualify for the NBA finals.
Golden State Warriors, on the other hand, pulled Portland Trail Blazers out of the running in the Western Conference finals.
Now, they have to play a series of seven games for the championship title.
If you’re one of those anticipating the finals, which team do you think will win? How many wins do you think each team will celebrate?
While you decide that, let’s take a look at their journey so far this season.
-
Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors have done a great job so far.
They defeated Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference semi-final games in seven games. They went on to the Eastern finals and won Milwaukee Bucks in six games.
They might not be everyone’s favorite to win the finals, but all hope is not lost for them.
They have Kawhi Leonard who was ranked as the no 1 defense for six games. He has averaged 29.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists in each game.
He really has been a blessing to the Raptors this season and we can only hope that he brings his best performance to the finals.
The Toronto Raptors have to their favour the absence of Kevin Durant among the Golden State Warrior ranks, who is currently nursing a calf injury.
They have lesser threats to face with him out of the game.
If the Raptors want to win these series, they have to put up a strong defense, and at least, begin the series with a win.

Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors are everyone’s favorite to win the final series.
They are the defending champions and have had more experience playing at the finals (and winning it) than the Raptors.
Though Durant will be unable to play in game 1, they still have a strong defense with the likes of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
Since Durant’s fallout in the second games, they have not lost any match.
They have had a great season so far. If they continue that way, they just might win the finals.
The finals will, however, begin after a full ten-day rest. So they should be refreshed and fully rested.
Despite all these, they have to put in their best in these games because the Raptors are stronger than any team they have faced so far.
It is certainly going to be an exciting series.
We await the finals with great anticipation. Are you also anticipating the games as much as we do? And who do you think will win overall?
