The EFL games have begun for quite a while now.
The third round is set to begin, and the major teams in the competition will be joining in this round. EFL is always know for its interesting turn of events. Smaller teams end up winning over the big guns.
One of the reasons for this is, big teams usually do not present their best players for the EFL Cup.
Will it be the same this year, will we be seeing top players from the big teams or will it be a festival of wins for smaller teams?
But more importantly, which teams are you backing? The underdogs or the Giants?
Let’s take a look at some of the matchup for the next round:
Chelsea vs Grimbsy
Chelsea, one of the big guns in this league will be taking on Grimbsy in the next round.
Considering their recent loss to Liverpool in the Premier League games, Chelsea will go into this game with their ego a little dented.
Also, the fact that Lampard has not led Chelsea to a win in a home game since he became manager is not so encouraging.
Chelsea will be welcoming Grimsby to their hometown. Will they be able to make this a win?
Grimbsy, on the other hand, have had a winning streak in the cup so far. They won their games against Macclesfield and Doncaster.

After their win against Villa (3-2), Arsenal seems to be the favourites entering this game.
Nottingham also enters this game confident, especially since they have not experienced a defeat in nine matches and they have won four out of their last five games, with the remaining game ending in a draw.
Arsenal have won two of their last five games. Two ended in a draw and they lost one.
Nottingham will be hoping to pull off an upset in this match, and with their performance so far, it doesn’t seem like an impossible task.
