It’s a week of European football. While there will be Champions League football later today, this article focuses on the Europa League aka Thursday Night Football.
The tournament that features 48 clubs and is widely regarded as the most stressful football competition in Europe will again take centre-stage on Thursday. The one question usually asked by most fans of clubs playing in this competition is how far their beloved players have to travel.
Because of the kind of clubs involved in the competition, the travel mileages can quickly pile up for the players which usually affect their performance in their league game that follows. This brings us to our first question,
Which Team Will Lose Their League Game After Europa League Match?
Jet lags, stress and a drastic change in weather conditions can play a major role in how players play their game. For teams that will be travelling long distances, the question remains: will the long distance travels affect their performance in the league?
