It’s time for the second half of proceedings in the Europa League group stage. After three games played, the journey to qualify for the knockout stages is very well on.
This week, we will see Round 4 games played – the reverse fixtures of the games played in the third round. And there’s plenty of football to enjoy and make money from.
Featuring 48 teams, betting on Europa League football can be very stress. But not to worry. In this blog post, we’ve made things easier for you by segmenting teams into various categories. Below are some of the categories you should look out for as you stake your bets on the Europa League this week:
-
The 100% Boys
Welcome to the category of winners!
While other teams have had a stuttering start to their 2020/2021 Europa League campaign, the sides in this category have had a flawless run so far. In other words, they have won all their games so far.
In Group B, Arsenal’s dominance is unmistakable. With nine goals scored – an average of three per game – they have won all their games. Another team, surprisingly an English side too, with a winning Europa League run is Leicester.
The Foxes have also scored an average of three per game, conceding just once. Villarreal and Hoffenheim are the other non-English sides in this category. And both have managed an average of four goals scored per game.

The Top Scorers
Six different players have scored at least four Europa League goals this campaign. But they all trail a certain Yusuf Yazici in the race for the top scorer in the Europa League. The 23-year-old Lille front-man has scored six goals so far.

Only a handful of teams have scored more goals than this player so far this season. Benfica and Leverkusen are the two sides that have scored goals in double digits but are not top of their group.

Teams Without a Win
If you call them the rock-bottom squad, you won’t be far from the truth.
These teams have not managed a single win since their campaign this year started. Some have not even scored this season!
One of such teams is CSKA Sofia. While the Bulgarian side have earned at least one point, Dundalk can’t boast of any. The Irish side have lost all their games, conceding an average of three per game. That’s just one more goal than Standard Liege have let in after three games played.

Rijeka, Omonia, Zorya, and even Celtic are in this category of teams still searching for their first Europa League win of the season.
