For a while now, the major football leagues in Europe have been on a break. This means we would not be seeing most of the superstars strut their stuff every week.
While that break is still on, we’re about to have an exception – somewhat. Those superstars will be playing football in their respective country colours this weekend.
This time, they won’t just be playing for pride; they play their parts in their respective national sides, seeking to either help their beloved country qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup or the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2019.
The most interesting part? It’s going down this weekend, starting today. After the UEFA Champions League final last weekend, it’s good to know that we don’t have to wait too long for footballing action that we can enjoy.
This means, every other thing, transfer speculations included, can take a back seat for now. It’s time for international football; and there’s a weekend ahead stuffed with loads of them. And we’ve got a list of those games for you (just in case you’re wondering)
