The new NBA season is gearing up to start. Next week, NBA action will get underway, with Western and Eastern Conference teams squaring up against each other, week in week out.
Some of the pre-season games that have been played have featured 200+ points, served up plenty of drama and has been a huge pointer that this season has plenty in store for the NBA fans out there.
After facing off against the Golden State Warriors in a record four straight NBA Finals, LeBron James, with his new LA Lakers team, played against the Warriors. It was the first of the two meetings between both franchises in the NBA preseason.
LeBron James’ first game against the Warriors as a Laker drew nearly 2 million viewers, making it ESPN’s most-watched preseason game ever. The Lakers’ 123-113 victory Wednesday night in Las Vegas was watched by 1.98 million viewers.
While Steph Curry got the most points for Steve Kerr’s men (23 points), LeBron James’ 15 points was the fourth highest number of points any Lakers player could manage.
On Saturday, they will play each other again. This will be their final friendly meeting before the first competitive action between both sides this season which will take place on Boxing Day.
While you’re getting ready to enjoy all the action, here are 3 Markets you can make money from with the next Lakers-Warriors game:
-
Total Match Points
The first meeting between both sides this season is a huge pointer to what will happen again this weekend when the second preseason meeting takes place.
You can be sure that this game will have over 200 points scored in it. Not only because the first game ended with over 230 points but also because only one of the last 14 NBA preseason games played has ended with less than 200 points (Orland Magic vs. Memphis Grizzlies).
-
Winner (by Quarter)
The LA Lakers only lost the first set of that first game against the Warriors. They literally owned every other set that came after it. Being a friendly game, it may be hard to accurately predict which quarter any of these teams will win.

Half-Time/Full-Time

Golden State Warriors Total Point
The reigning champions may be looking to get their own pound of flesh when they take on the Los Angeles franchise this weekend. And that may see them scoring more than the 113 points they score in the first game.
With Steph Curry and Durant and Klay Thompson, Warriors have a fair chance of comfortably outscoring Lakers. But how many points can they get?
