The Grand Prix has been a steady race, since March when this season’s games started.
The race began in Australia and has since moved through 12 countries. Now, the thrill of the Grand Prix has engulfed Italy where this week’s race will commence.
The Italian Grand Prix qualifiers started yesterday and will continue today. By the end of the day, we will have gotten the exact line-ups for tomorrow’s games.
So far, it’s been a great season for Mercedes with 10 out of the 13 wins this season, featuring mostly, our favorite of the season, Lewis Hamilton.
The races this weekend will be the fourteenth round of games for this season and will be held in Monza.
Let’s take a look at some of the drivers to watch out for this weekend…
Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton has raced the Mercedes to victory a couple of times already this season and going into this race, all eyes are fixed on him, especially after his near-win at Belgium.
Putting aside that he has won 10 races this season, he is not a novice to Monza’s tracks. He has successfully crossed the finish line five times as a winner in Monza and hopefully, this year won’t be any different.
This race will be his chance of pulling off a comeback after his less than a second loss at the Belgian Grand Prix.
Do you think it will be another win for him in Italy?
Charles Leclerc
After his debut win of the season at Belgium Grand Prix, our hopes are high that he might win again at the Italian Grand Prix.
It was a narrow one though. He finished ahead of Mercedes in less than a second. This win has led to a change in hierarchy. Sebastian Vettel has been asked to hand over the team lead to Leclerc.
With this new responsibility on his shoulder and the fact that Monza is Ferrari’s home track, he is under intense pressure to win at Monza.
Max Verstappen
Max Verstappen already has two wins for the Red Bulls this season, one at Austria and the other in Germany.
In Italy, Verstappen will be starting from the back of the grid and will be taking grid penalties. Despite this, we are hoping that he is able to race from the back right to the forefront.
In this race, he will be driving in the New Honda Unit, Spec 4 PU. The aim is to improve performance with this new engine. Hopefully, that works.
These drivers and more will be racing at Monza.
