Another weekend is here again. The second one in the month of July will feature the continuation of football action in some parts of Europe. In addition, some football leagues will be kicking things off in other parts of the world.
One of such leagues is the J1 League in Japan. The league which saw rounds two and three of games played earlier this month continues this weekend. While Japan is faced with a deadly combination featuring deadly flooding and mudslides, the games have been billed to continue, regardless.
Nine games are expected to be played this weekend, with Cerezo Osaka looking to maintain their lead at the top of the table. They’re the only side yet to lose a game so far this season, having scored five and conceded just once.

While action will resume in China later this month, the K1 League continues this weekend, with five games set to be played. Ulsan Hyundai, Daegu, and Pohang are the three teams that have average two goals scored so far this season.
Moving over to Europe, another league to bet on this weekend is the Pepsideild in Iceland. The 2020 season which kicked off on the 15th of June will feature the sixth round of games this weekend. Notorious for goals, Iceland’s premier club competition will see the log-leaders, Breidablik, try to ward off challenges from the likes of Valur and Fylkir, teams that are in second and third place respectively.

After Leeds thrashed Stoke City yesterday, they have now moved a step closer to ending their 16-year Premier League absence. If they can earn seven more points, Premier League promotion is sure.
And speaking of Premier League promotion, sides like Brentford, Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Cardiff, and Swansea continue their race for a chance to play in the Championship play-offs. Whoever wins the play-offs will gain promotion to the Premier League.
