From now on, the second half of the 2018/2019 PL season begins.
The first has been as adventurous as the second half is set to be. The title race will heat up from here as Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea all battle it out. This is not to say it’s too late for Manchester United and Arsenal to throw a spanner in the works.
What better way to start the second half of the season than the game between Liverpool and Arsenal. Just like they started the first half, it’s baptism of fire for the Gunners this second half. This one is the game of the weekend and here are 5 questions we’re asking:
1. Liverpool’s unbeaten run
After playing their first round of both major and minor games, the Reds have lost no games at all. Their home for has been even more incredible as they’re on an unbeaten run that has started since last season.
This helped them to top the table by Christmas. And they will now have the league title in sight.

2. Will the Liverpool domination continue?
Since 2015, the head-to-head in this fixture has been largely dominated by Liverpool wins. 2015 was the last time Arsenal defeated Liverpool. Since then, both sides have played 7 times. The Reds have won 3 of those fixtures, with the remaining 4 ending in draws.
Arsenal is one of the few teams that have managed to take something off the Reds this season. Their last meeting ended in a draw.

3. Will the goal fest continue?
The 0-0 draw between both sides in 2015 is the only bore draw between both sides in the past 20 meetings in all competitions.
Of those 20 games, 18 of them featured over 1,5 goals. Over 2,5 goals were scored in 11 of them while both teams scored in 14 of the past 20 meetings between both sides.
4. Who will score the first goal of the game?
There are many reasons why Liverpool currently top the PL standings. And it’s not only because they’re the league’s second-highest scorers and have the league’s best defense.
One other reason is because they have scored the first goal in 84% of their league games this season. And with a defense that solid, it is seeming like the trend will continue.

All eyes will be on this game. Liverpool is the team to beat now in the league. And what better team to hand their first defeat than the only one that has gone a whole season undefeated. But will Liverpool be too much for Arsenal to handle?
