Man. Utd vs. Arsenal: Can the Gunners Shoot Down the Red Devils?

September 29, 2019 1 Comment

It’s no news that the Premier League games are ongoing.

But one of the games we are looking forward to is the matchup between the Gunners and the Red Devils.

Let’s begin with the fact that both teams are not yet among the top five teams on the table this season.

This is the seventh game both teams will be playing this season and they are nowhere near being qualified for the Champions League or even Europa League.

Both teams enter this game under a lot of pressure to win. Which team do you think will win? Man. Utd or Arsenal?

Manchester United

The skepticism surrounding Man. Utd’s performance is high because  Ole Gunnar has about eight players missing mostly because of injuries.

At this point, we are not sure Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial will be playing in this match, thanks to the injuries.

With the way things are, Gunnar might have to start this game with 17-year old Mason Greenwood at Centre forward.

The injuries, no doubt, have had a not-so-nice effect on their performance this season. They have played six games so far, won two, lost two and the remaining two ended in a draw.

This leaves them on the 11th spot on the table with eight points, which is not so impressive.

Nevertheless, Manchester United have not lost their last 12 premier league games against Arsenal at Trafford since 2006.

This should give them a breath of relief.

Man. Utd have had 12 Premier league wins against Arsenal since 2006.

Arsenal

When it comes to this season’s games, Arsenal have had a better performance.

They also have had their fair share of injuries, but theirs are nothing compared to Man. Utd’s.

Lacazette and Smith Rowe will be sitting this game out. However, Emery has several defense options to choose from, especially since Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin, Kieran and Tierney have recovered from their injuries.

Arsenal will enter this game with eleven points, sitting at the eighth spot on the table. In the six games they have played this season, they won three, lost one, and two ended in a draw.

They also have been able to score 11 goals in their six games, which is more than Man. Utd’s eight.

Arsenal have lost only one game this season.
Do you think they can make this a win or will it be another loss for them?

Even though we have not seen these teams in their best form this season, this is a match you do not want to miss out on.

Which of them do you think will win? Can the Gunners shoot down the Red devils or will it be the other way around?
