Speaking of cup action in England, this weekend featured the third round of games in the 2019/2020 FA Cup season. And just like the FA Cup featured some heavyweight names, the first full week in the month of January will see four Premier League teams battle in the EFL Cup.
With the competition in its semi-final stages, Aston Villa, Leicester City, Manchester City and Manchester United will battle for the two available tickets for the final. In this semi-final contest, both games will be played over two legs, with each team having the chance to play in front of and take advantage of their home fans.

Of the two semi-final games, both Manchester clubs will lock horns in the second Manchester derby of the 2019/2020 football season. On the 7th of January, Manchester United will play the first leg at home, with the second leg to be played on the 29th of January at the Etihad Stadium.
Being a cup game, there will be a number of changes to the starting XI of each side. This is further underscored by the team selection of each manager in their FA Cup games.
For Manchester City, Pep Guardiola can choose to play either Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus or even Sterling upfront. For Manchester United, this game is a chance for Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to win a trophy. This might influence him to start either Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial or even Mason Greenwood upfront.
