As mentioned in one of our blog posts this week, this month will be a month featuring a number of derby games, especially in the Premier League.
Just after the Merseyside derby, fans will witness another edition of the Manchester derby this weekend – the first installment of the season. Set to be played inside the Etihad Stadium, it’s arguably the biggest game of the weekend, one every fan is looking forward to.
There may not be a title race on the line between these two yet. However, the Manchester derby is usually a fight for not just three points but supremacy and bragging rights in a city of football.

It has not been the best season for Pep Guardiola’s side. They’ve lost three of the 15 PL games played this season. And that’s a lot of concern for the hosts as they look to keep up the pressure on Liverpool in their title chase.
It’s been over a year since Manchester City suffered defeat at the hands of their cross-town rivals. They will be looking to continue that run and compliment their win against Burnley.
