The sixth F1 race of the year has come and gone.
This one was the exact opposite of the race in Azerbaijan as there was no need for the Virtual Safety car. It was a clean race with almost no crashes or incidents.
It may just be early days in the 2018 F1 season but with the way the season is shaping up to be, there seem to be more questions than answers. As we look ahead to the next race in Canada, we take a look at some of these questions.
-
A Two-Horse race or not?
When the season started, only two names were favored by many to go head-to-head for the drivers’ championship: Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel. It was expected that the British driver and the German driver would continue from where they left things off last season.
Well, they did, with both drivers winning two races each this year alone. But there’s another driver who has also won two races this year too. His name is Daniel Ricciardo.
The Australian has banished all talks about his contract and has focused on churning out results on the race tracks – as was evident with his Monaco GP win.
It may yet be early days but as things stand, Ricciardo is third on the standings.

He may be 38 points off the top of the table but Ricciardo has staked his claim as one of the outsiders who might as well win this year’s F1 title.

Who will win this year’s constructors’ championship?
While the drivers’ standings is heating up, the constructors’ championship has gotten even busier.
It is not unusual that the gap between first and second on the constructors’ table is normally wide. But after the race in Monaco, all that has changed.
After the race in Monaco, Team Mercedes retain the top spot with 178 points. They’re closely followed by Team Ferrari who have amassed a point total of 176. Then there’s Red Bull, placed third, with 107 points.
