Game 4 Review: The Cavs’ Glorious Comeback Ruins the Warriors’ Unbeaten Streak!

When the Golden State Warriors stole Game 3 from right under the noses of the Cavaliers, it partially seemed the NBA title had already been decided.

The Cavs had turned up on the night, only to go the last 3 mins of the game without scoring! They missed their final 8 shots and let Kevin Durant send in that late trey (one of the most important in his career).

Going into Game 4, the situation was a crystal clear one: one more win for the Warriors and it’s bye bye NBA title. A win for the Cleveland side would swing the pendulum.

LeBron James, after Game 3, described the Warriors as a team you need an A-plus-plus game to beat. And boy did they bring their A++ game in Game 4 which helped them to defeat GSW 137-116.

Since this year’s NBA Playoffs Finals started, records tumbled over themselves in awe of the amazing performances. King James reached one milestone or the other and continued to seal his G.O.A.T status. And the trend continued in Game 4.

This blockbuster was nothing short of exciting. Of course, new records were being broken almost as soon as they were set. New NBA Finals record for points (86) in a half. New record for threes scored (13) in a half. New record for most made 3-point shots in a finals game (24).

When you realise that all those records were set by Cleveland Cavaliers, you’ll understand how the Warriors got swept away. It was a historic offensive performance from the Cavs team as a whole — not forgetting Kyrie Irving’s 40 points, a performance that ruined the Warriors’ chance at a perfect postseason and forced Game 5.

The one game that has been associated with hustle saw the King and his teammates hustle their way back to life. Game 5 will be a tricky one: the Cavs will be playing away and the Warriors, though still licking their wounds, will be getting their chances of winning the NBA title in front of their home fans.

Game 5 sounds tasty already. And we can’t wait! While we look forward to your reactions to Game 4 and your expectations from Game 5 in the comments section below, here’s one question for you:

Who will win Game 5: Golden State Warriors or Cleveland Cavaliers?

Do you think the Cavs will continue their comeback win in game 5?
