The last quarter of the year is always a busy one when it comes to sports in the U.S.A. It’s always jam-packed with one event or the other.
Despite the Major League Baseball (MLB) season coming to an end, there’s still plenty of action to enjoy and also bet on when it comes to American sports this weekend.
NBA
Having played just eight of the 82 games due this season, it’s still a relatively young NBA season. Nevertheless, some teams are already taking steps in the right direction, winning as many games as possible and reducing their losses to minimum.
In the Eastern Conference, Boston Celtics have set the early pace, winning six of their seven games. They have won all of their last five games, a stark contrast to the form of the likes of Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks and Washington Wizards.

In the Western Conference, Lebron James has helped the LA Lakers to an incredible start to their season. Just like the Celtics, the Lakers have only lost once this season, benefitting from the scoring prowess of both Lebron and Anth9ny Davies.
NFL
The New England Patriots lost their first game in nine last week, against the Baltimore Ravens, a side that is now on a four-game winning streak. However, that winning run cannot be compared to that of the San Fransisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints in the National Football Conference.

NHL

With over 10 games still to be played this weekend, there’s more than enough action to go round.
In the Eastern Conference, the Washington Capitals and the Boston Bruins are the top two sides. Both sides have only lost two games this season, with the Capitals losing just once in their last 10 games. In the Western Conference, the St. Louis Blues (three losses) and the Edmonton Oilers (five losses) are the top two sides.
In addition to these games, the MLS Cup final will be played on Sunday, between Seattle Sounders and Toronto FC. It’s a weekend full of action from North America.
