Anytime you hear about the NBA these days, it’s not so much about the regular season. It’s the NBA Playoffs season, featuring the league’s biggest stars, thrilling buzzer-beaters, and series stretching into Game 7.
What started out with 16 teams has now been halved. Although proceedings are still featuring games in different conferences, the action is still very much competitive.
In the East…
The first round of Conference final games featured blowouts by the likes of Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors and Miami Heats. Now in the semi-finals, things are heating up as teams scramble for points in the race to feature in the conference final.

The Boston Celtics started out with a 2-0 lead over the Toronto Raptors in their match-up. The reigning NBA champions needed a buzzer-beating three-pointer to pull one back in the best-of-seven NBA game. With no home/away advantage – as games are being played in the bubble – it has been nothing short of dramatic.
The third game of this series was the first time the Raptors passed the 100-point mark in their clash against the Celtics. On the other hand, the Boston-based team have not failed to score more than 100 points in their last seven games.
Like the Celtics, the Miami Heats also prevailed over the Milwaukee Bucks in their first two games of the Conference semi-final series. It’s been a surprise so far since both sides finished the regular season five spots away from each other.

In the West…
When LA Lakers and Houston Rockets clash in the first of their NBA best-of-seven series, it’ll be a game between the top seed and the fourth-best seed in the conference. Houston Rocket’s extended run in the first round means LA Lakers have had plenty of time to rest while waiting for their opponents to scale through.
And now that they are here, the contest will be fierce for a chance to draw first blood.
Both teams have quite the history between them.
