The 2020 NBA Playoffs Final is guaranteed to require at least a fifth game in the series. After LA Lakers took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series, the Miami Heats, bent on not suffering a whitewash, pulled one back.
With three games done and dusted with, we’re sure to get at least two more. Depending on the proceedings of events in the NBA Playoffs Final series, there could even be more. But for now, we’ve seen enough games that have shown a few trends that you can cash in on before it’s all over.
Are you new to the NBA Playoffs party but still want to cash out from all the action? Here are three betting markets to consider:
-
Odd/Even Points
Because of the large scores in basketball games, this can be a very tricky market to delve into. Most times, it’s hard to tell how a game will play out. But with the NBA Playoffs final, there’s been a trend.
In the last eight playoff games Miami Heat have played, only three have finished with an odd number of total points. For the five remaining games, all with over 200 points scored in them, they have ended with an even number of points.

Total Match Points
214. 238. 219. That’s how the first three games of the NBA Playoffs Final series finished respectively. That’s an average of 232 points scored per game in the final series of the NBA post-season.

For Miami Heats, this is a trend that is common to their games. In fact, since they played the Eastern Conference final against Boston Celtics, only once has their game finished with less than 210 points. That’s once in their last nine games played.

2nd Half Result
Although a game of basketball is split in four quarters, two of them make a half (mathematically too!) And in this final set of games in the NBA season, the LA Lakers have usually dominated the second half.
After dominating and winning the second half of the first two games in the Playoffs Final, they succumbed to a defeat in the third. With Miami Heat seeking to take advantage of their momentum, they’ll be looking to continue from where they stopped.
Will they be dominated again by Miami Heat?
