The two most recent games of the NBA Playoffs were tales of different types. It’s been such a long merry-go-round journey inside the bubble in the past few days as basketball franchises tried to get the better of each other.
From buzzer-beating game-winners to the protests and then the slam-dunks plus the come-back wins, it’s been an NBA Playoff season to remember. But the journey is not over yet. Matter-of-factly, it has just begun.

Eastern Conference
In the East, qualifying for the semi-finals was relatively easy for the teams that made it through. But the table turned in the race for a spot in the conference finals. Toronto Raptors, the reigning champions, were knocked off their perch, as they lost their best-of-seven series to Boston Celtics.
In the other game in the conference, it was a walk in the park for Miami Heats, as they strolled to a 4-1 win over Milwaukee Bucks, a side that finished top of the conference in the regular season.

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals tipped off on the 15th of September. The game saw over 200 points scored and went into overtime. With Miami Heat drawing first blood, there’s plenty to look forward to before a winner will emerge in this conference.
Western Conference
On their way to the conference final, LA Lakers played 10 games. Eight of them went the way of Lebron James’ side. That’s how dominant they have been in the post-season. The side that finished the regular season as the best side in the conference made light work of Portland Timbers and Houston Rockets.
For a while now, they have been made to wait for their conference final game. In part because they have blown teams away, in part because of the not-so-easy path of their now-confirmed opponents, Denver Nuggets.

Compared to Lakers’ 10 games played, Denver Nuggets played 14 on their way to the Western Conference final, forcing a Game 7 in each series. That’s a lot of work. And a lot of sweat. And a lot of effort.
And that’s what made them the first team, in the 74-year history of the NBA, to come back from a 3-1 deficit twice in the NBA Playoffs series. They have their work cut out for them against an LA Lakers side that is now favorites to even win the NBA Playoffs Final.
