Names to look out for
This season will be somewhat of a strange one in that the race for the Golden Boot or the highest number of assists or the highest number of every other thing will no longer be between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The Portuguese has moved on to Italy, leaving Lionel alone in Spain. With eight clubs having broken their transfer records this summer, they’re quite a number of players you should look out for this season.
Atletico Madrid’s new signing Lemar completed his €70m move from Monaco. The World Cup winner is expected to make Atleti more dangerous this season going forward.
Gerard Moreno is another name to look out for. The striker who scored 16 goals for Espanyol last season – goals which helped Espanyol escape relegation – has been snapped up by Villarreal, his former side.
Of course we can’t forget the likes of Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, Gareth Bale and the other usual suspects who will make the whole season for us, the fans.
As we count down to the beginning of the season, which of the 20 teams do you think will win the league? What are your expectations for the new season? Leave us a comment and share your thoughts with us.
