NFL: Can the Rams Continue Their Unbeaten Run?

November 03, 2018 Leave a Comment

It’s GameWeek 9 in the NFL this weekend.

The regular season in American Football league is halfway gone. Of the past 8 weeks in the 17-week long season, the boys have been separated from the men, as the journey to the play-offs continues.

In the American Football Conference (AFC), all 16 teams have registered at least a win. But while some have had more of losses than wins, other teams are cruising with their higher win-loss ratio.

One of those teams is the New England Patriots, a franchise that has recorded 6 wins and has suffered just 2 losses. Other teams that have managed just 2 defeats in the AFC include the Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers (the only side whose game against Cleveland Browns is the only game in the conference that has ended in a tie in regular time).

But only one team has won all of its games except one.

Kansas City Chiefs has won 7 of its 8 games played, losing that lone game to Tom Brady’s New England Patriots. In their AFC West division, they’re unbeaten in front of their home fans, with a four-game winning streak.

They face the Cleveland Browns in their Gameweek 9 fixture.

The Chiefs may have recorded just one loss but there’s another team that has gone one better, the Los Angeles Rams.

In the National Football Conference (NFC), the New Orleans Saints is the only side whose record in the league this season, in the conference, comes close to that of the Los Angeles Rams. They’ve played 7 games and lost just once.

But unlike the Saints, the Rams have blown away everything in their sights this season. 8 wins in 8, undefeated both home and away, their 264 points scored so far is the highest in the conference, second in the entire conference to Kansas City Chiefs’ 290 points.

The Rams to win at New Orleans Saints has been priced at 1.71 on NairaBET.
The Rams have never won a game at New Orleans. The past eight meetings between both sides has seen New Orleans Saints win 5 times.

The other games to be played include,

  • Buffalo Bills vs. Chicago Bears
  • Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets
  • Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions
  • Washington Redskins vs. Atlanta Falcons
  • Denver Broncos vs. Houston Texans
  • Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Chargers
  • New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers

Do you follow NFL action? Which of these teams do you think can kick-start their second half of the season with a win? Is there a chance any of these teams could play out a draw in regular time and have overtime in their game?
