The NFL regular season is already heating up. While the divisional contests are still very much on, teams must already have one eye on the Super Bowl which will take place next year.

While some teams have played 13 games and some others 14, the season is gradually taking shape. The boys are getting separated from the men in each division and the real contenders are already raising their hands.

They’ve been able to achieve these through consistent performances that have led to consistent results. From winning streaks to unbeaten runs, these are the streaks and trends in the league at the moment.

  1. The Less-Than-Three Group

This category features the teams that have lost three or less games this season. What this also means is that these teams have racked up wins in double digits.

New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers are the four teams that have not only lost less than three games this season, but have also dominated their respective divisions.

Of all these four teams, only Philadelphia Eagles has scored over 400 points in their 13 games played. They’ve also conceded 250 points during the time. This is an average of over 50 total points in every game.

Will there be 50 or more points in their next game against New York Giants who are 2-11 this season?

  1. The Streaks

Looking at the different divisions and the standings, one team that catches your attention is the Philadelphia Eagles. The team currently leading the AFC North standings is currently on an 8-game winning streak.

When it comes to winning streaks, no other team comes close to the record of the Eagles.

But some other teams are setting records with their losing streaks. The Cleveland Browns for example are currently on a 13-game losing run. What this means is that they’ve yet to win any game this season.

As Cleveland Browns takes on Baltimore Ravens, will they be able to record their first win? Will they be able to pick up their season with this game?

  1. The Trends

For the teams topping their divisions, they’ve scored an average of over 300 points since the regular season began. Though they’ve been winning games, they’ve been conceding touch-downs too. On the average, those teams have conceded 250 points.

Put together and some quick maths, that’s an average of over 40+ points per game for these sides since the season started.

For the teams at the bottom of each log, none of them has scored over 300 points since the season began. The highest is New York Jets’ 266 points. As for points conceded, the highest is Indianapolis Colts which has conceded 368 points.
