Welcome to yet another month in the year 2017. How time flies! Feels just like yesterday when we were all celebrating the beginning of the year. October here and the year is quickly running to an end.
It’s been an exciting year so far in the world of sports. From Chelsea being crowned Champions of the Premier League to Real Madrid conquering Europe, Usian Bolt’s farewell, and the boxing bouts that shook the earth and its citizens, it’s been a year to remember for every sport fan.
With another month starting today, it’s time to share with you some of the sporting events you can be on the lookout for.
- International NFL Games
The NFL teams have been in the news in recent times for everything but football. The season is still very young and as such there’s still time for some more drama, upsets and, yes, NFL games in other countries other than the U.S.A.
This month, some American football teams will be playing some of their games in the city of London. Of course there’s no difference between the one played in London and the one played in America. It’s all just part of switching up the experience for the fans and going global.

- More Formula 1 Action
The F1 drama continued in the Malaysian Grand Prix as Vettel had to finish from the back of the grid and Max Verstappen won the race in the Asian country. Lewis Hamilton came second behind Max while Daniel Ricciardo came in third for a podium finish. Vettel missed out on a podium finish as he finished the race fourth.
While the gap between Hamilton and Vettel is widening with each passing race, anything can still happen. And with three Formula 1 races set to take place this month, fans of the sport can look forward to plenty of drama between the British Hamilton and the German Vettel.
The Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka (8th of October) is up next. It will be followed by the United States Grand Prix in Austin (22nd of October) and then the Mexican Grand Prix in Mexico City (29th October).
- The International Break
Take a backseat, club football. It’s time for international football. Tickets for the FIFA World Cup in Russia are up for grabs and several teams are still in contention to qualify for the mundial. This week will feature international football action in all continents.
Which of these teams will join the 8 teams that have already qualified for the competition?
