Physical Bet Slip vs. Online Bet Slip: Which One Are You Most Comfortable With?

Different sports fans will have different definitions for the kind of thrills they get from their favorite sports if asked. For the football fan, it’s about the goals – especially the last-minute winners – and the thrill of getting a win over a fierce rival.

For a basketball fan, it’s about the buzzer-beating shot from downtown. It’s that hole-in-one shot for the golf fan and a five-set thriller will get any tennis fan excited any time of the day. That’s the power of sports.

These days, while fans enjoy the thrill of watching their favorite sports team or player, there’s the added thrill of making some extra cash by placing bets on sporting events. If you’re a bettor, you’ll know the thrill of taking your winning ticket to a bet shop to get your winnings or cashing out online.

This brings us to the topic of this article. Several times, there’s a divide between bettors as to which platform is the best and easiest to place wagers. On one side, there’s talk about the physical bet slip. On the other, there’s the argument for online bet slips and how they make life easier for punters.

What do you think?

Before we take your answers to these questions, let’s talk about a few points.

  1. Online Betting vs. Bet Shop

When talking about physical bet slip vs. online bet slip, we’re also indirectly referring to the “battle” between the bet shop and online betting.

Those players who support the bet shop do so to get firsthand experience of waiting in queues, looking up codes, amongst other things. There’s also the thrill of visiting the bet shop and collecting their winnings with their hands, instead of having it transferred to their bank accounts.

Those who place their bets online, on the other hand, do so for the comfort, exclusivity and the fact that every other thing can be done without moving from Point A to Point B – except for maybe when they’re placing bets on in-play games and they need to move around to get their device charged or probably get something to eat.

You get the gist?

So, are you an online betting fan or do you love to visit the bet shops?

  1. Do You Like “Marking” Your Bet Slip?

Most of us have been there before. That place where each successful prediction on our long bet ticket was marked as won. While some people moved on from this and preferred to do their thing online, some others remained with the “Physical Bet Slip” family, marking bet slips every weekend and were constantly cashing out.

The ones who place bets online probably do so because there is a system which helps them to keep track of how their bet slip is performing. The won games are marked green while the lost bets are marked red. For them, that is pretty comfortable.

We’ve just told you a short story of two different categories of people. It’s your turn to tell us your own story. Which category do you fall into? Which one are you most comfortable with: A physical bet slip or the online bet slip? And why do you think you’re comfortable with it?

Leave us a comment and let us know your preferences and your thoughts.
