The pressure on Liverpool
Without doubt, Jurgen has outspent every other Premier League club in the summer transfer window. Reinforcing, the Reds now have the most expensive goalkeeper in their ranks, an addition to the most expensive defender in the world.
With the league’s PFA Player of the Year still part of the squad, all eyes will be on the Reds to see how they will fare in this new campaign. Of course they will get the goals. But will Alisson’s addition help them to plug the leak that marred their campaign last season?

The Centurions: The team to beat
Manchester City finished the last campaign with 100 points – earning them the nickname, The Centurions. And one way they were able to that was their blistering start to the season. The Blues started the 17/18 campaign like a house on fire. Remember that winning streak?
Being the champions, Pep’s army is the team to beat this season. They currently have what 19 other teams want: the Premier League title. And it’ll be interesting to see what the Philosopher has up his sleeves this new season.

The promoted ones
The newly-promoted sides – Fulham, Wolves and Cardiff City – will be looking forward to life in the top-flight. The stage is bigger now. The audience is larger now. And of course, as expected, the opponents are tougher now.
While they will be relishing their chances of causing some upsets this season, they will also be looking to repeat a feat that happened last season: maintaining their Premier League status. And it will be interesting to see how it goes.

Tottenham
Spurs have yet to sign any player.
With the transfer window set to close this week, it’ll be interesting to see the last-minute deals that will be signed, sealed and delivered. What other thing that will be of interest to fans of the league is how they will fare this season.
Both Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Chelsea may all be favorites for the league title. But Spurs are outsiders, the dark horses, right?
