This weekend, the Premier League took the back seat for the FA Cup, one of the oldest football competitions in the history of mankind. As usual in cup games, upsets and surprising results was the order of the weekend.
This coming week (on Tuesday and Wednesday), the Premier League will resume action. As we anticipate all the action from Match Day 25, here’s a betting preview you can use to make money from the Premier League this new week.
This week, these are the fixtures set to be played:
- Swansea vs. Arsenal
- West Ham vs. Crystal Palace
- Huddersfield vs. Liverpool
- Chelsea vs. Bournemouth
- Everton vs. Leicester
- Newcastle United vs. Burnley
- Southampton vs. Brighton
- Manchester City vs. West Bromwich Albion
- Stoke vs. Watford
- Tottenham vs. Manchester United
The big one has to be the clash at White Hart Lane. Manchester United, currently chasing after Manchester City, faces Tottenham, currently placed fifth and chasing a Champions League spot.
In the past six meetings between both sides, the team playing at home has always won the game.
Relegation-threatened Swansea takes on Arsenal in a fixture notorious for producing plenty of goals, especially in the last two years. Swansea has seen Over 2,5 goals in 8 of their last 9 games against Arsenal in all competitions and there have been Over 2,5 goals scored in 5 of Arsenal’s last 6 Premier League games.
After losing to Swansea in the Premier League and West Brom in the FA Cup, the pressure is mounting on Liverpool to start winning games. Up next for them is Huddersfield side that lost to Liverpool 3-0 at the beginning of the season.
To make matters worse for Huddersfield, they have lost their last 3 matches in the Premier League, conceding at least 2 goals in those 3 games.
When Manchester City and Chelsea take on West Brom and Bournemouth respectively, there will be a lot of talk about the transfer deadline day and their home advantages. For Manchester City, it’s all about their home run that is still 100% intact and keeping an eye on the Premier League title.
Chelsea on the other hand, will be looking to get all the points that they can lay their hands on to solidify their top 4 spot.
