It’s the last post for the month of October. How time flies! The year is already 10 months old and it seems just like yesterday when it all started and we were anticipating the games and fixtures to be played.

The same can be said about the current Premier League season. Although the most-watched football league in the world is yet to reach the half-way mark, fans have been treated to all kinds of action from the stars that ply their trade in England’s premier football league.

Speaking of stars, here are 4 players whose outstanding performance during Gameweek 10 caught our attention.

  1. Nicholas Otamendi

Manchester City remains unbeaten in the league. They are 5 points clear of their nearest rival and the talk of them going unbeaten in the season has begun to pick up speed.

Against West Brom, one name stood out amongst the rest. City’s Argentine defender Nicholas Otamendi was at the heart of everything about Gaurdiola’s defense. Otamendi, although guilty for West Brom’s second goal, made sure that Rondon was kept under check every now and then.

His partnership with Stones ensured solidity at the back, which meant City could roam forward and create all those deadly chances.

Will Otamendi and co. be able to stop the Gunners when they play this coming weekend?

  1. Demarai Gray

Although the game between Leicester City and Everton was all about the Foxes’ new manager and the Toffes’ search for one, a young Gray chose to steal the show.

Demarai Gray, in the build-up to Leicester’s first goal on Sunday, evaded three Everton players – more like made it seem like they weren’t there.  He went on a scintillating 60-yard run that led to Jamie Vardy putting Leicester ahead.

Up next for Claude Puel is a trip to Stoke City.

Running the Everton defense ragged throughout the game, Gray was outstanding in his performance. It was as if he was thanking Claude Puel for giving him his second Premier League start of the season.

  1. Wilfried Zaha

Want to know what it means to score a 97th-minute equalizer? Ask Wilfried Zaha. The Ivorian Zaha has been excellent since his return from injury and his exploits have helped Hodgson to cope without a recognised forward since Benteke is currently injured.

Having scored against Chelsea a fortnight ago, he again stepped up to the plate when Crystal Palace needed him. He was unmistakably Palace’s biggest threat when they played against West Ham during the weekend.

After forcing Joe Hart to make two good saves, he was then rewarded for his persistence with a 97th-minute equaliser.

  1. Eden Hazard

Chelsea had to cope without their Belgian talisman in the first few weeks of the Premier League campaign. His absence was visibly felt and it was obvious they were missing him.

Since his return from injury, scoring three times in as many games is enough proof that he was an important player for the Blues. His goal against Bournemouth made the difference…

Conte will be hoping Eden can make magic happen against Manchester United next Sunday.
Which team do you think will win that game: Chelsea or Manchester United?
