The tournament that started with 20 teams is now left with four. The Rugby World Cup is getting even more exciting as the final moments pitch the top sides against each other.
Last weekend, four more teams, Japan, Ireland, Australia and France all got eliminated from the competition in Japan. This weekend, two more teams will have to exit the competition, making way for the finalists. The question is, which of these four teams will reach the final?

New Zealand
The ‘All Blacks’ as they are fondly called, have lived up to their position on the World Rugby Men’s Rankings as the number one side. Asides not losing any game so far, they’ve defeated one of the other semi-finalists, South Africa, in the group stages.

For New Zealand, it’s more than just qualifying for the final and retaining the title they won in 2015. It’s more about continuing their dominance in a sport that they’ve been dominating for a while now. However, they are up against an experienced England side.

England
The 40 points scored by England in their quarter-final game against Australia was the second-highest by side in the quarter-final. New Zealand scored the highest points, thrashing their opponents 46-16. With these numbers, it’s safe to say the game between both sides will be a high-scoring one.

More importantly, this will be a highly tactical game. The English team will be looking to climb up the rankings as the winners of both semi-finals at International Stadium Yokohama will occupy the top two places in the rankings.

South Africa
The only remaining contingents from Africa, the only loss they’ve suffered coming into this game was the loss in their opening game to New Zealand. Since then, they’ve bounced back to win all the games they’ve played in this tournament so far.
After knocking out the hosts, the ‘Springboks’ will be full of confidence going into their semi-final.

Wales
They are the third-highest ranked team in the world of rugby. Despite scoring just two tries, they narrowly defeated France 20-19 in their quarter-final game. They must now do better if they’re to stand any chance of featuring in the grand final.
