Europa League Final

Europa League Final

Inter Milan and Sevilla will lock heads against each other in the most anticipated game of the season on Friday.

It is needless to say that both teams have performed brilliantly this season. It was not an easy play for Sevilla in the semi-final game, still, they finished the game with a 2-1 victory.

Inter Milan, on the other hand, thrashed Shakhtar Donetsk 5-0 in their semi-final game.

This is the first time both teams will be meeting in a UEFA competition and from their form this season, this promises to be an interesting game.

So, which team will win the Europa League final? Will it be Inter Milan or Sevilla?

Let’s go through their performance so far.

Inter Milan

Inter Milan has a lot riding on this game. It has been almost a decade since they won any trophy. The last time they won a competition was the 2011 Coppa Italia games.

Now, they are very close to winning another trophy after a long time in the shadows. They will do anything to finally redeem their image.

This is their first season under Antonio Conte and it has been a spectacular one. They finished second place in Serie A, with just one point below Juventus.

Inter Milan have won their last six matches in all competitions. Also, they have won their last five games in the Europa League. They have conceded only one goal in seven matches.

Even though Inter Milan cruised into the final, thanks to Shakhtar Donetsk, they still have their work cut out for them. Sevilla will be no child’s play.

Inter Milan have not lost any of their last five games.

Sevilla

This is not the first time Sevilla will be participating in the Europa League final. In fact, they have played in the final six times, making them the most successful side in this match up.

They have also won the Europa League five times.  They know what it takes to be in the finals and what is expected of them to win.

That’s not all. They have the longest unbeaten run in the history of the competition. They have played 20 games without experiencing a single defeat. They have won eight of their last nine matches and have scored 20 goals in their last 11 games.

When it comes to form, they are on point. However, this might not be an easy one for them since they will be facing their strongest opponent yet. They have to bring their best game on if they want to finish with a win.
