It’s one of the tightest league-title races we’ve seen in England in recent times.
Power has changed hands at the top of the table several times, albeit between just two clubs. Manchester City and Liverpool, at several points during this season, have topped the table.
Surely, one of both clubs will go on to win the PL title this season as only one point currently separates both sides.
For the title, it’s pretty straightforward. But it’s complicated when it comes to the race to finish in the top four.

A quick glance at the table shows just how tight the race for top four is. Spurs, in third, have 61 points. They are closely followed in fourth by Arsenal, 60 points.
Manchester United is not too far behind, as they are in fifth with 58 points. Then we have Chelsea, although with a game-in-hand, in sixth, with 57 points.
For most of these sides, they only have eight games left to push their agenda. Eight games to try and qualify for Champions League football next season. Eight games left to climb over their rivals and into the top four.
A slump in form has seen Tottenham fall dangerously close to finishing outside the top four. Pochettino’s side has struggled in recent times, losing three of their last four games in the league. Once high-flying, they’re now at risk of finishing below their eternal rivals, Arsenal.

Football business must look good in London. Three London sides are competing for the two remaining slots in the top four: Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.
For Tottenham, they just need to start winning their games and maintain their status quo.
For Chelsea, the storyline is quite different. They have to find a way past the team ahead of them and claw their way into the top four of the league.
Their game-in-hand is a huge boost for them. Win that and they return to fifth place, sending Manchester United back to sixth.
But in this race, consistency is important. Henceforth, no side can afford to drop points or they’ll be playing Europa League football next season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s return has seen the Norwegian shatter all kinds of records. They’ve gone an unbeaten run, becoming the side with the highest shots on target percentages across the five major European leagues.
However, all of that has not helped them into the top four just yet. Their loss against Arsenal, a direct rival for a top four spot, further raised questions as to whether or not the Red Devils can still finish fourth.
One thing all four clubs have in common is this: one extra commitment or the other. For Manchester United, they’re still very much alive in the Champions League, same as Spurs. For Arsenal and Chelsea, their run in the Europa League continues.
Would these other competitions affect the top-four struggle this season? Which teams do you think will achieve a top-four finish come the end of the season?
