4 Ways to Cash in On Real Madrid’s Poor Form

January 08, 2019 Leave a Comment

You know what they say about eras in football?!

You remember the time when the Italian Series was the in-thing?

Their teams dominated the airwaves and the European competitions in the early 2000’s. As the next decade approached, the English teams took over, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool running riot.

The Spaniards have now taken centre-stage in European football. One club in particular, Real Madrid, has won the UCL trophy three times in succession. That’s how dominant they have helped the league to become in Europe.

But that same side is now in a slump.

In a year where they won 2 trophies, they missed out on the UEFA Super Cup and changed managers twice! Their trophy cabinet has not lacked since. But their recent results points to the inevitable: the absence of trophies.

Their most recent loss, a home loss to Real Sociedad has helped more pressure on Solari and the players.

Their next La Liga game is away to Real Betis.

Looking at their past form, how can you cash in on the current form of the European champions?

  1. Real Madrid to Concede

Madrid has only been able to keep a clean sheet four times in their last 10 games.

Even when they were playing against Mellila in the Copa Del Rey, they still conceded. It’s a trend that has been steady in recent times. And now is the best time to cash in on the trend.

  1. Real Madrid win or draw

For all the noise about Madrid’s poor run of form, they’ve actually done well for themselves in their most recent games.

Of the last 20 games they’ve played in all competitions, they have only lost 7 times. That’s almost one-third of their games, with two-thirds featuring wins.

  1. Real Madrid to Score

It may seem the Los Blancos are firing blanks up front. However, reverse is the case.

Real Madrid has only failed to score in two of their last 10 games (in all competitions). They’ve not scored enough goals to keep them in an UCL spot. But they’ve banged in enough to stay alive in the Cops del Rey.

Madrid scored six in their last Copa Del Rey game.

  1. Over 2,5 Goals

Six of their last 11 games have featured over 2,5 goals.

While none of those games ended in a goalless draw, only two of those games saw less than one goal in it. They may be closer to 14th place Celta Vigo than they are to table-toppers, Barcelona. But Real Madrid games in recent times, have not been short on goals.

It’s actually not as bad as the media puts it. The media may claim it’s a bad patch of form for Madrid. But it’s the perfect time to take advantage of the situation and make as much money as you want.
