As usual, the German Bundesliga has been on the low, in comparison with the other leagues in Europe’s top five.
Save for Bayern Munich winning the FIFA Club World Cup, not much has been heard about the league. That and the inconsistency of sides like Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig, and especially Borussia Dortmund.
They have won one of their last five league games. And even though all of their last five games have finished with at least three goals scored in each, they’ve been at the receiving end of most of those goals. Their win over Sevilla in the Champions League puts them in the right place heading in to their next game, the Revierderby.
Dortmund may be having it bad… but not as bad as Schalke 04. Stuck at the bottom of the table, they have only won one game this season.

Their draw against Union Berlin in their last game was the second in their last 10 games, which has also featured two wins.
Judging by all of these, this one’s no contest. However, the Revierderby is one of the most keenly contested games in the German Bundesliga. And while both teams are at opposite ends of the pole in terms of form, the derby part of this one makes it one to cash in on.
Fresh off their conquest in Qatar, Bayern Munich return to action away from home as they take on Eintracht Frankfurt. Both sides are unbeaten in their last five games, with four wins and a lone draw. Whether it is Bayern Munich doing the scoring or it’s Frankfurt, this game is notorious for one team scoring at least five goals.

RB Leipzig failed to win their UEFA Champions League game mid-week. They have the chance to bounce back to winning ways when they face 15th-place Hertha Berlin. The away side has now endured a seven-game run without a win and five without a clean sheet.
But this contest is one that usually features a number of goals. Three goals have been scored in eight of the last nine editions of this game.
Before Borussia Moenchengladbach face Manchester City, they will also be in action in the Bundesliga. With each game having over 400 betting options to choose from, there are more than enough ways to cash in on the Bundesliga this weekend. Which team are you backing?
