The ‘All Blacks’ as they are fondly called have scored the second-highest number of points at the Rugby World Cup. In three games played, they’ve scored an average of 52 points per game. There’s more.

Their 71 – 9 defeat of Namibia was the only time any team in the 2019 Rugby World Cup scored over 70 points in a game.

The New Zealand team have scored 22 tries in just three games – an average of seven per game.

  1. South Africa

After losing the first game to New Zealand, they’ve managed to win all their next three games, scoring incredulous amounts of goals – 49 points against Italy and 57 points against Namibia. It’s understandable that they’re the highest-scoring side in the tournament.

As favorites to win the trophy, they will be looking to qualify out of the group, alongside New Zealand.

  1. Japan

The host nation is no where the top scoring teams in the competition this year. However, they have used their home advantage well so far. With three wins in three games in Group A, they’re on course to feature in the knockout stages of the competition.

Japan need to defeat Scotland in their next game to finish the group stage as group winners.

The English teams have had everything working well for them since the tournament began. Although closely followed in Group C by France (with 13 points), England still maintain a two-point lead at the top of the table.
