With the one-time MLS Is Back competition done and dusted, the 2020 MLS season has continued from where it stopped.
After five months of no action and no movement on the MLS log tables, teams have resumed fights for goals and necessary points to climb their way to the top of the table. With the league just six games old, fans are in for a very long ride and it’s the perfect time for bettors to cash in on the action in the league.
With more than enough games to choose from between now and the end of the season, what teams are there to look out for?

Sporting Kansas
Although they couldn’t make it past the quarter-final stages of the MLS Is Back competition, they are sitting comfortable at the top of the Western Conference table. Their 2-1 win over Minnesota United was their fifth win in six league games so far this season.

2. Los Angeles FC
If you want goals in the Western Conference, then look no further than the team where Carlos Vela plies his trade. Although the reigning league MVP left the club during the MLS Is Back tournament, the captain is now back to help the league to win the MLS Cup.

In the six league games they have played so far, 27 goals have been scored – 15 by the Los Angeles side and 12 by their opponents. For context sake, that’s an average of three goals scored every time LAFC takes to the pitch. Look no further for your MLS goals!
3. Colombus Crew
There isn’t a crew with a better than defense in the Eastern Conference than that of the Colombus team. After 7 MLS games played, they have let in just two goals, one of which came in their last game against New York City FC.
Although they failed miserably in the MLS Is Back tournament (crashing out in the Round of 16), they’ve only lost once, during a 90-minute period this year. With their form, just maybe they are about to discover new territories like the man they share names with.
4. Portland Timbers
They defeated all on their journey to a maiden MLS Is Back trophy. They were the best the West produced for the competition. However, they haven’t necessarily been the best in the league, having lost two of their last three MLS games.
While the they try to make a comeback from these losses, like LAFC, their games do feature a lot of goals. In their last 10 competitive fixtures, only one finished with less than two goals scored. If you can back them for the win, you can opt for the goals.
These are just four of the over 20 teams in action in America. Which teams will you be rooting for this season? Drop your comments and join the conversation below.
